Canoe-in
Campsite

A rustic site along
the Straight River

camp site

River Bend has a designated campsite for use by those canoeing down
the Straight River. It is available on a first come, first serve basis
(no reservations) but sees only infrequent use.

        • Two picnic tables
        • Fire ring
        • Easy river access
        • Plenty of room
        • Adjacent to River Bend's trails
        • No restrooms
        • No potable water supply
        • No electricity or phone nearby
        • Not accessible by vehicle, canoe-in only

Note that the location of the site is incorrectly marked on most canoe maps, including the DNR map. The actual location of the site is on the northeast side of the river at mile point 3.5. This was the location of an old dam that has been entirely removed.
