River Bend Nature Center announces its new photo contest! Each month beginning in March, we invite River Bend visitors to send us their best photo taken at River Bend Nature Center. We will post the photos on our Facebook page -- http://www.facebook.com/RiverBendMN -- and Facebook users will be able to vote for their favorite by clicking "Like" under the photos they like best.
At the end of each month we'll ask the River Bend staff to cast their votes which will be combined with the Facebook users' votes to determine the winners. We'll award 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place as well as honorable mention. The 1st place photo will be featured on our River Bend web site and the winner will receive free passes to an upcoming River Bend event or a River Bend t-shirt, tote bag, or license plate holder. Prizes awarded are subject to change without prior notice.
We will accept two photos per month from each entrant. All photos submitted may be used for future promotional and educational purposes on behalf of River Bend Nature Center without prior permission. Credit will be given to the photographer whenever the photograph is used.
Photos in digital format are preferred and should be emailed to photos@rbnc.org. We can also accept print photos (8x10 is best) mailed to River Bend or dropped off at the Interpretive Center. Please tell us your name, address, and email address plus the title of the photograph when submitting your entries.
Deadline for each month's contest is the last day of that month. Judging by the River Bend staff will take place within one week of the contest deadline and winners will be notified by email. |
