Upper lot picnic area

  • little walking from car
  • mostly shady, with partial sun
  • 2-3 moveable picnic tables
  • 2 fire rings
  • near marsh overlook, spring, waterfall, woods
  • rarely used for organized programs and events
  • no bathrooms or drinking fountain

Interpretive Center Lawn

  • little walking from car
  • mostly sunny, very little shade
  • 3-4 moveable picnic tables, 1 handicapped accessible
  • no fire rings
  • near main trail head
  • sometimes used for school and public programs
  • outdoor drinking fountain (shut off in winter)
  • bathrooms in IC during open hours

Trailside Knoll

  • 100-yard walk from lower parking lot
  • mostly shade, some sun
  • 4-5 moveable picnic tables, 1 handicapped accessible
  • 1 fire ring
  • covered patio shelter (not pictured)
  • sometimes used for school programs and day camps
  • closest to river and walking trails
  • has drinking fountain, but 150 yards away from above site with bathrooms (when open)
