Security for online purchases
River Bend's online shopping cart system utilizes industry-standard 128-Bit SSL encryption technology, certified through Thawte, Inc. and is completely secure. You can verify this yourself by noting the "locked" padlock symbol at the bottom corner of your browser when you are asked to provide credit card and related information. The information you submit is immediately processed with our credit card handling company. It posts to our account a few days later and then the data is promptly removed from the servers. Your complete credit card data is never sent through email, not even to River Bend.
Your privacy
Your privacy is important to River Bend. We never share, sell, trade or in any other way distribute any personal information you give to us with anyone, including any other company, non-profit agency, or organization. In particular, we never sell or give our member, donor, or registrant mailing lists to other non-profit entities or fundraisers.
