Reserve a facility at River Bend

Some of River Bend's facilities and features can be reserved and/or rented when not in use by River Bend's programs. For fees and reservation information, email us or call 507.332.7151.

  • Alcoholic beverages are never permitted at River Bend Nature Center
  • Buildings can not be used for weddings and wedding receptions
  • All reservations are subject to our visitor guidelines and regulations
  • Unleashed pets or animal releases are not permitted
  • Take your refuse with you, please!

location: adjacent to main lot
capacity: 100 (handicapped accessible)
kitchenette w/ microwave, sink, fridge/freezer
bathrooms and drinking fountains
available year around
displays are moveable as needed
tables and chairs available
small meeting room also available
picnic area outside

Trailside
Center

location: just south of main lot
capacity: indoors 50, small covered patio
(handicapped accessible)
spring-summer-fall only
tables and chairs available
bathrooms, water, elect.
good staging area for outside events
picnic area outside

Big Woods
Amphitheater

location: behind Interpretive Center
capacity: 90 (handicapped accessible)
Seating on terraces or lawn furniture or pads; campfires allowed; has electricity but no water; bathrooms in nearby IC

Grounds

A diverse trail system with 10 miles
of maintained trails and scenic overlooks;
3 picnic areas; orienteering courses
