What is River Bend’s Pay What You Can Scholarship Program?
River Bend Nature Center’s “Pay What You Can Scholarship Program” is available for families who want to attend River Bend programs but cannot afford to pay the entire program fee.
The scholarship funds are made available through the generous support of individuals, families, businesses, and organizations in the area. Their leadership to keep River Bend accessible to everyone is needed and appreciated.
Gifts to support the Pay What You Can Scholarship Program and other initiatives are needed and always welcome.

How does the Pay What You Can Scholarship Program Work?
For families who request a scholarship, the Pay What You Can Scholarship Program provides coverage for program fees the family is unable to provide. Your generous donations, pay all or part of the program fee while the family pays the amount they can for each child.
Families do not need to meet any requirements to participate, financial or otherwise. The funds available through this program are distributed on a first come, first served basis. River Bend staff notifies families on availability of funds to meet and approve their request.
At present, scholarship funds are available for children (ages 14 and under) for Summer Camp and School’s Out Adventure Days.
All scholarship requests are confidential and will be handled exclusively by River Bend Nature Center staff.
If applying for more than one camp, rank them in order of preference.
A Naturalist will confirm the camp(s) for which you are approved.
